With this program the students at your
school will have the opportunity to create a lasting work
of art to enrich the school environment. The process
starts with students drawing designs on paper to find the
theme of the mosaic. Some of the drawings may later be
enlarged to use as templates for tile making. Next is the
fun part when we come to the classroom with all the clay
for tile making. During this session students will make
many tiles and paint them with underglaze. The tiles will
be taken to the studio for glazing and firing. The final
step is to install the mosaic and grout the design.
Mosaic making is a way to include all
the students working as a team bringing their ideas
together to create something wonderful and exciting.
